The primary purpose of Blinds is to control the amount of light entering a room. Blinds are used for blocking out the sun, as well as adjusting their coverage over windows in order for you to regulate how much sunlight enters your house. This can also assist with regulating temperature inside rooms because while they can stop sunlight entering, they can also reduce the heat or cool from escaping through the glass.

Generally, blinds can be grouped into 2 types, roller blinds, and panel blinds. Roller blinds are usually a single piece of material that is wound around a cylinder, and rolled on or off that cylinder to provide their movement up and down. Panel blinds have a number of either vertical or horizontal slats which are held together using cord, and they move in unison when being opened of closed. They essentially group together when raised and spread apart when lowered.

Some of our most popular styles are:

Vertical Blinds

These blinds are perfect for any window that needs a little extra protection. They're a type of panel blind made of elongated vertical vanes which slide over a connected track to control their coverage on the windows. They are usually opened and closed using a cord or wound via a ‘wand’ mechanism.

Roller Blinds

Roller blinds consist of a single-piece fabric and allow for privacy and sunlight protection as they are rolled up or down, making them perfect for rooms that are exposed to natural light. Roller blinds are usually made of polyester or cotton fabrics, and can be doubled up with a second roller in the case of double-roller blinds. These have an opaque blind, backed with a block-out blind.

Roman Blinds

These are similar to roller shades in that they are a single piece of fabric, except they typically have pleated folds when raised instead of being rolled on cylinders. They can come in two types of fabric, generally considered soft and hard depending on what material is used but either way, the result is elegant simplicity with minimalistic lines that work well in any room from bedrooms to living rooms.

Honeycomb Blinds

Honeycomb blinds are a versatile and energy efficient option for any home. These window coverings come in one, two or three layers to provide varying levels of insulation. The fabric is bonded together to create honeycomb shaped cells. They can be either raised from the top, or bottom, or both, depending on your requirement.

Venetian Blinds

Venetian blinds provide a practical and durable solution to your windows covering needs. They consist of horizontal slats and come in various materials such as timber, metal, vinyl or PVC so you are sure to find one that suits your style! The singular horizontal slats are connected by cord or fabric tape, and are operated via cords or wands also to open and close them.

Panel Blinds

Panel Blinds are often referred to as Panel Glide Blinds and come in a variety of colours and sizes. They have a very wide slat size and are perfect for large rooms or rooms that may even require divider solutions. Panel blinds are a more modern take on vertical blinds, with their wide panels sliding via channels that hold them in place. Their channels can be sized based on the number of panels you need- making them perfect for large windowed rooms.

Block-out Blinds

Block-outs Blinds are the best way to shut out light as well as blocking out heat, or keeping in the cool. Block-outs, or Black-outs as they are also referred to, come with different percentages of ‘light-blocking’, and can block out up to 100% of natural light. They are ideally suited to bedrooms for these reasons.
